15.1. Characteristics of modeling#

A D_ PLAN modeling is used for solid elements with the CONTINUE method for the treatment of CONTACT with SIMPSON2 integration. The contact formulation is penalized, the penalty coefficient is 1.0E16.

15.4. notes#

In this modeling, the load is a pressure imposed on the upper plate (and not a displacement). The 2 approaches are perfectly equivalent, however the use of pressure here requires the blocking of rigid body movements (following \(\mathrm{DZ}\)), this is done by declaring initial contact (CONTACT_INIT).
