2.1. Calculation method

The reference solution comes from results obtained with the Abaqus and MARC codes in a NAFEMS touch-friction validation benchmark [bib1].

2.2. Reference quantities and results

Vertical movement of point \(M\) (according to \(y\)) (external reference).

Contact pressure at point \(M\) (external reference). The contact pressure recorded is that extrapolated from the stresses in the volume.
