7. Summary of results

This test makes it possible to validate the touch-friction in axisymmetric modeling with respect to references given by commercial calculation codes (Abaqus and MARC).

There is a very good agreement between the results obtained by*Code_Aster* and the reference results.

It should be noted that continuous and discrete formulations give identical results with, however, the following restrictions:

• the calculation in continuous formulation is easier to carry out because the blocking of the vertical rigid body movement is carried out automatically

This test also shows the regularization of contact pressure by leaving in the vicinity of sharp corners.
