15. Summary of results

The results obtained with*Code_Aster* are in accordance with those expected (error less than one thousandth).

In this example, direct nonlinear calculation is much more expensive in terms of calculation time, by a factor of 20, than that on a modal basis.

The C and E models show that similar results are obtained with an explicit temporal integration method with keyword SCHEMA_TEMPS (FORMULATION =” ACCELERATION “)) and implicit (DYNA_NON_LINE with keyword SCHEMA_TEMPS (FORMULATION =” ACCELERATION”)).

The D and F models show that similar results are also obtained with an explicit time integration method that dissipates TCHAMWA (the difference being due to this added numerical damping).
