4. Definition of the area of assignment#
The choice of the elements of the mo model to which the assignment relates is made in two steps:
the choice of the type of element concerned by the assignment (beam, DISCRET,…),
the meshes (of the type of element defined) to be affected.
The choice of the keyword factor defining the type of elements (POUTRE, DISCRET,…) implies that the appropriate types of elements exist in the model (verification carried out systematically).
The types of elements involved depend on the modeling:
phenomenon MECANIQUE
phenomenon THERMIQUE

The assignment of characteristics to finite elements is done using the keyword: “GROUP_MA”.
If VERIF is not present: in a group of elements (or nodes), we effectively assign the characteristics to the only elements for which they make sense. For other items, the characteristics are not affected.
If VERIF is present: we also check that all the elements in the group are of the correct type, otherwise an error message is sent.
4.1. Operand GROUP_MA#

GROUP_MA = lgma |
Assignment to all elements in the specified mesh groups. |
As in the other commands, the overload rule apply [U1.03.00] .
