v6.04.504 SSNV504 - Extruding a piece of paper#

Summary:

This test simulates the extrusion (without friction) of a piece of paper, a case frequently encountered in industrial shaping studies. The interest of this test is mainly to validate the « passage » of geometric singularities (acute and obtuse angles) and to test the consideration of two contact zones (multi-zone contact).

The models selected are as follows:

  • Modeling A (AXIS):

CONTACTnœud mesh, associated with mesh SEG2,

  • B modeling (3D):

CONTACTnœud mesh, associated with QUAD4 meshes,

  • C modeling (AXIS):

CONTACTnœud mesh GLISSIERE, associated with mesh SEG2,

  • D modeling (AXIS):

CONTACT, CONTINUEassociée method with SEG2 meshes,

  • E modeling (AXIS):

CONTACTnœud mesh GLISSIERE, associated with mesh SEG3,

  • F (3D) modeling:

CONTACTnœud mesh GLISSIERE, associated with mesh QUAD4,

  • G modeling (3D):

CONTACTnœud mesh GLISSIERE, associated with mesh QUAD8,

  • H (2D) modeling:

CONTACT, method CONTINUEassociée with SEG3,

  • Modeling I (AXIS):

CONTACTGLISSIERE, method CONTINUEassociée to SEG3,

  • J modeling (AXIS):

CONTACTGLISSIERE, method CONTINUEassociée to QUAD4

  • K modeling (AXIS):

Same as J modeling: ALGO_CONT = STANDARD + PENALISATION

The models with GLISSIÈRE make it possible to maintain contact throughout the extrusion, mathematically. The result is physically similar to modeling without a slide, since it is a frictionless extrusion.
