2. Benchmark solution#
2.1. Calculation method used for the reference solution#
The solution is the result of a calculation code and an experimental test.
From the reference solution valid for modeling the entire plate, it is necessary to divide the normal resultant by two to obtain a valid reference for a half-plate.
2.2. Benchmark results#
The normal reaction force is as follows:
Imposed displacement (\(\mathrm{cm}\)) |
Reaction force (\(N\)) |
1.125 |
8.0083 |
2.2250 |
16.0166 |
3.3375 |
24.0250 |
4,4500 |
32,0333 |
The contact force is given as a reference. It is used to define validation tests, which are accompanied by non-regression tests with more stringent tolerances.
2.3. Uncertainties about the solution#
These results are relatively approximate because they are recorded directly on the paper curve.
