v6.03.167 SSNP167 - Inclusion of two crowns under non-uniform pressure#
Summary:
This test is used to evaluate the performance of Aster in terms of the treatment of contact between two structures with compatibility and geometric incompatibility between the master and slave surfaces under the small disturbance hypothesis.
We consider a structure composed of two concentric rings. The interface between the two rings is the contact surface. Their stiffness, represented by their Young’s modulus, plays an important role in evaluating the value of deformations and fluctuations in contact pressure. We also want to know what are the effects of using a higher-order mesh, with the use of linear or quadratic meshes.
An analytical solution was developed for this problem in order to validate the calculated numerical results. The validation of this test focuses on the values of contact pressure and displacement.
