9. Summary of results#
This test makes it possible to validate the touch-friction in relation to an analytical solution but also in relation to references given by commercial calculation codes (Abaqus and MARC).
There is a good agreement between the analytical results and those obtained by Code_Aster as well as a good agreement with the reference results for calculations with friction.
It should be noted that continuous and discrete formulations give identical results with, however, the following restrictions:
the calculation in continuous formulation is easier to carry out because the blocking of the vertical rigid body movement is carried out automatically
the calculation with friction on a quadratic mesh could not be carried out in discrete formulation
In quadratic, the contact pressure obtained from the degree of freedom LAGS_C in continuous formulation has much fewer oscillations than in linear.
