v6.03.144 SSNP144 — Use of a cohesive zone model with the X- FEM method#
Summary
The purpose of this test is to validate the law of cohesive behavior used during the cracking of elements \(X-\mathrm{FEM}\). This approach, described in [R7.02.12], makes it possible to model the opening of an interface taking into account a cohesive force between the lips of the interface.
Models \(A\) to \(K\) involve a parallelepipedic bar that is cracked over its entire section (we then speak of an interface), subject to an imposed displacement, which results in the separation of the two parts of the structure in mode \(I\) as well as in mode \(\mathrm{II}\). The influence of the refinement of the mesh as well as the type of elements used is studied.
Modeling \(L\) tests the case of an interface that opens and closes in \(I\) mode. Penalized contact and piloting are used simultaneously.
Validation is done by comparing the contact and friction values of the Lagrangians with an analytical reference solution.
