12. Summary of results

Cohesive models make it possible to qualitatively simulate the sudden propagation of two brittle fracture cracks through a perforated plate. The overall responses of the seven models (in terms of force-displacement) are substantially the same. The control of the load makes it possible to follow the sudden rupture of the two ligaments on either side of the hole, leading to two « setbacks » in the overall response.
