3.1. Characteristics of modeling#

  • Type of finite elements: Hexahedron (HEXA8), dimension of \(\mathrm{0.05m}\) for the height and \(\mathrm{0.04m}\) for the length and a maximum of \(\mathrm{0.04m}\) for the width.

The plate is cut into 13 elements over its width, in 100 over its length and in 4 over its thickness.

The steel frame is modelled by BARRE elements. The cable is discretized into 101 elements.

3.2. Tested sizes and results#

We test the value of the displacement at node \(D\) along the \(z\) axis.
