8.1. Characteristics of modeling#

D_ PLAN modeling. We mesh only half of the cylinder (symmetry with respect to plane \(y=0\)) 40 QUAD8 on the half-circumference and 2 in the thickness. This modeling makes it possible to validate the consideration of an orthotropic material on cylindrical geometry in 2D via the ORIG_AXE keyword from AFFE_CARA_ELEM/MASSIF.
