5. Summary of results#

For each of the models, two critical loads that are similar but of opposite signs are obtained. The associated discharge methods are identical. Negative critical loads correspond to the load applied while positive critical loads correspond to the reverse load. If we disregard the sign of the load, the two critical loads actually exist.

The critical loads for the load applied are correct. The errors obtained do not exceed:

  • \(\text{3\%}\) for COQUE_3D modeling with TRIA7 meshes,

  • \(\text{7\%}\) for COQUE_3D modeling with QUAD9 meshes.

It can be seen that modeling COQUE_3D with mesh TRIA7 is more accurate than modeling COQUE_3Davec with mesh QUAD9.

This test made it possible to test Euler’s COQUE_3D linear buckling modeling.
