6. How to start a parametric study

By parametric study, we mean a standard study (defined in tab ETUDE) in which we want to vary one or more parameters.

The study is as general as any study defined in astk.

Note

The study must be valid before being based on the parameter set. It must therefore run without error. It is also important to optimize the study before applying it to a large number of parameter values.

The definition and launch of a parametric study are described in [U2.08.07].

The launch is strictly identical to the launch of the nominal study alone. Only the « distrib » option should be set to yes in the Options menu.

The calculations are started in parallel: see § 7.1 for specific options.
