v6.04.247 SSNV247 - Application of pressure distributed over the lips of a curved XFEM interface crossing a spherical cap#

Summary:

This is a validation test for contact facets from integration sub-elements XFEM.

The contact facets used by default do not come from the integration sub-elements and do not give the possibility of having quadratic contact facets in 3D. You can activate the recovery of contact facets from the integration sub-elements in the operator MODI_MODELE_XFEM with the keyword DECOUPE_FACETTE =” SOUS_ELEMENTS “. Linear and quadratic facets are then available in 2D as in 3D which have the advantage of being in accordance with the integration sub-elements since they are selected from the sides of the integration sub-elements in 2D and the faces of the integration sub-elements in 3D and the faces of the integration sub-elements in 3D. This recovery mode also has the following advantage: the coordinates of the nodes of these facets are not recalculated as is the case by default, because these nodes are retrieved during the slicing that is performed in TOPOSE.

In the present test, it is ensured that the recovery of these facets functions correctly when mechanical pressure is applied to the lips of an interface for a three-dimensional geometry. The results obtained are compared with an analytical solution. We deliberately choose an iso-zero « lsn » curve representing the interface to assess the performance gain brought by quadratic « facetization ».
