7. Summary of results

The imposition of Dirichlet conditions on XFEM Heaviside elements using a space function is validated, on both 2D and 3D elements, for linear and quadratic models.

Care has also been taken to carry out a modeling in which the interface is in accordance with the mesh (modeling c) and a modeling in which the interface passes through a middle node (modeling d). In particular, this feature makes it possible to impose discontinuous kinematic conditions through the interface.
