1. Reference problem#

1.1. Geometry#

_images/10000000000001A90000011820715F75C39257AC.jpg

outer radius of the ring

\(\mathrm{6,35}\mathrm{cm}\)

inner radius of the ring

\(\mathrm{4,15}\mathrm{cm}\)

forced displacement

\(\mathrm{4,45}\mathrm{cm}\)

1.2. Material properties#

Ring: polyurethane, law of elastic behavior.

Young’s module:

\(E=407N/{\mathrm{cm}}^{2}\)

Poisson’s ratio:

\(\nu =\mathrm{0,48}\)

Friction coefficient:

\(\mu =\mathrm{0,4}\)

1.3. Boundary conditions and loads#

The constraints are flat.

An incremental imposed displacement from \(0\) to \(\mathrm{4,45}\mathrm{cm}\) is applied to the nodes of the non-deformable plates.

Note on units:

The dimensions and displacements are in centimeters so, to remain homogeneous, the pressures must be entered in \(N\mathrm{/}{\mathit{cm}}^{2}\).

1.4. Initial conditions#

None.
