v6.03.312 SSNP312 - DMT94 .132 Crack parallel to the interface in a bimetallic CT specimen#

Summary:

This test is the result of the independent validation of version 3 in fracture mechanics.

It is a two-dimensional static test (plane deformations) that focuses on the calculation of a crack parallel to the interface between two materials, for a non-trivial geometry in a bounded domain.

The structure has Von Mises elastoplastic behavior under isotropic work hardening. The calculations are carried out in non-linear elasticity.

The objective of this test case is to study the sensitivity of \(G\) to the choice of crowns.

It includes two plane \(\mathrm{2D}\) models in which we study the influence of an imposed incremental displacement. The first modeling uses linear elements, the other uses quadratic elements.
