Summary:

This nonlinear quasistatic mechanics test \(\mathrm{2D}\) consists in loading three superimposed plate elements (element type MECPQU4). The 4 knots are common to the 3 elements. The elements have different properties (perfect plasticity) to obtain a suitable traction curve. This test is taken from guide NAFEMS.

The aim is to compare the various Newton-Raphson methods for solving the system of nonlinear equations (NEWTON: (MATRICE “ELASTIQUE”) and NEWTON: (MATRICE “TANGENTE”) with REAC_INCR and REAC_ITER). The convergence criterion chosen corresponds to \(\text{0.01\%}\) of the residual force (RESI_GLOB_RELA).

The modeling is carried out with plane elements of type MECPQU4.
