6. Summary of results#

The results obtained for modeling TUYAU (SEG3 and SEG4) are quite far from the reference solution, (error of \(\text{20\%}\)). On the other hand, they are better for modeling TUYAU_6M (\(\text{6\%}\) error).

The deformation of the cross section in the elbow is better represented by modeling TUYAU_6M, better suited to the modeling of thin pipes. In this modeling, the movements of the mean surface of the pipe are decomposed into Fourier series up to order 6, instead of 3 for modeling TUYAU. Reference modeling uses Fourier series decomposition up to order 6.
