6. Summary of results#

The multi-fiber beam element POU_D_TGM usable in non-linear geometry and material makes it possible in this test case to simulate the behavior of a pylon console up to the first softening and further if the structure is driven in movement (in the case of a ruin by plasticization) or by arc length (in the case of a ruin by buckling).

The calculation is quick and does not require any adjustment to carry it out successfully (except for the implementation of management). The results, if they differ from the experience, do not call into question the performance of the element. Indeed, the disparities observed are due to the choice of modeling (especially of assemblies).
