2. Benchmark solution#

2.1. Calculation method#

This problem does not require an exact analytical solution. The reference solution is therefore obtained by fine three-dimensional modeling, detailed in reference [1].

2.2. Reference quantities and results#

The vertical displacement measured at the end of the plate in the reference modeling is specified below.

For modeling C, we test the vertical displacement at the end of the plate, as well as the stress in the membrane at the end of the plate. The results are compared to a reference solution obtained with another model (membrane in small disturbances).
