4. Summary of results

Sorensen’s methods and reverse iterations (OPTION =” PROCHE “or” SEPARE “or” AJUSTE “) give identical and satisfactory results since the maximum difference with the analytical solution is less than \(\text{4.5\%}\). It is recalled that the analytical solution takes into account the curvature of the structure.

Elements MEPOUCT could not be used in this test because the calculation of the geometric rigidity matrix is not available for this type of element.
