6.4. notes#

The mesh in SEG4 is obtained from a SEG3 mesh with the command CREA_MAILLAGE, MODI_MAILLE with the option “SEG3_4”. It is important that the middle node of SEG3 is in the middle, the*Code_Aster* checks this condition with a tolerance.

The results obtained with*Code_Aster* are similar to those of \(\text{ABAQUS}\) with pipe elements except for the \(\mathrm{DY}\) displacement (natural weight and nodal force) where the difference is of the order of 5% and 2%.
