v2.07.301 SHLV301 — Harmonic response by substructuration: double-supported beam#
Summary:
The structure studied is a double-supported beam subjected to a distributed load that varies harmonically over time.
This beam is deformable under shear force. It is modelled by hexahedral volume elements with 20 knots (3D modeling).
The harmonic response is calculated using the Mac-Neal dynamic substructuring method.
The results are compared with values obtained analytically for a Timoshenko beam model deformable under shear force and taking into account the rotatory inertia of the sections.
