7. Summary of results

This test makes it possible to validate the calculation of the modal intensity factors by the operators CALC_G (option K) and CALC_G_XFEM (option CALC_K_G) and illustrates their use for the resolution of a fracture mechanics problem in low frequency dynamics by modal recombination.

The ratio between the calculation times of the explicit resolution and the resolution on a modal basis is between 10 and 50 depending on the type of mesh, and the precision of the modal recombination method is fully satisfactory.

The results of the C and D models make it possible to extend the application of the X- FEM method to calculate the intensity factors of modal constraints. The next step will be to solve a problem of fracture mechanics in low frequency dynamics by modal recombination.
