v2.02.113 SDLL113 - Transient dynamic substructuring: simple tension beam#

Summary:

The structure in question is a girder with an annular section under simple tension, embedded on one side, and subjected at its end to a Heaviside force. Its transient dynamic response is calculated by substructuring.

The beam is modelled by elements such as Timoshenko beams (line model). Two models are proposed depending on whether the beam is damped or not. The damping tested is of type RAYLEIGH (proportional damping).

The reference results are derived from a direct transient calculation by modal recombination without substructuring. This test therefore makes it possible to validate the tools for calculating the transient response by substructuring, in the linear case.

A third modeling dealing with exactly the same amortized problem as the second was added in order to deal with a case of use of a dynamic condensation method where the resolution of the dynamic problem on a physical basis takes place on a mixed model consisting of the macro-element of the right part of the structure and a physical model reduced to its left part. The results are exactly the same as those of the second modeling as expected.
