6. Summary of results#
For modeling A, the results obtained both in movement and in speed have an absolute error much less than \(\text{1 \%}\) compared to the analytical solution.
The Newmark integration diagram is more accurate than the Euler diagram.
In addition to critical damping (B modeling), the Fu-Devogelaere integration diagram is extremely accurate (no error compared to the reference solution). \(\text{1 \%}\)
The 2nd order adaptive time step diagram also gives results with a very low percentage of error.
For very low damping (modeling C), better precision will be noted for the Euler-type integration diagram than for a Newmark type diagram. For the latter, the error increases over time but is still less than \(\text{1 \%}\).
