4. C modeling#
The objective of this modeling is to validate routine PROJKM in the case where projections on the meshes and then on the sides are impossible.
4.1. Characteristics of modeling and meshing#
For concrete, a geometry with a double curvature of the « dome » type is used. The mesh is composed of four QUAD4 concrete meshes and two SEG2 meshes for the cable.

Figure 4.1-a : zzzz111b mesh view
The double curvature of the concrete creates an area where projections on the surface meshes and the edges of the concrete meshes fail. The middle point of the cable is located in this area for routine PROJKN to be called.
The command file is based on that of modeling A with a minimum of modification to adapt it to the meshing and tests of this modeling; all the other parameters are identical: modeling, materials, loads,…
4.2. Tested sizes and results#
We test the projection index for the 3 nodes of the cable and the eccentricity of the central point whose projection was calculated by routine PROJKN.
