1. Generalities#

1.1. Grace Presentation#

Grace is a graphical curve plotting tool (WYSIWYG) under the GPL license available on Unix/Linux systems and ported to other platforms (including Windows). Grace’s strengths include:

  • modification of paths in a graphical environment using a context menu;

  • very precise control of the elements on the curves (plots, legends, axes, etc… );

  • quality « publication journals »;

  • export (E) PS, PDF, JPG, PNG (depending on platform and installation);

1.2. Purpose of this tutorial#

The aim of this tutorial is to allow the Aster user to quickly learn a powerful tool that allows them to draw curves.

This tutorial shows the two main steps for drawing curves:

  • import and modify data;

  • specify the graphical aspects of the curves.
