1. Introduction#
As part of the seismic reassessment of civil engineering buildings, numerical simulations aim to better understand their non-linear behavior. This document presents the tools available in Code_Aster in order to model reinforced concrete structures under seismic loading. This complements the information described in [U2.03.07] for this particular need.
The purpose of this document is to provide the user with methodological advice and rules of good practice to follow during the various stages of the calculation of reinforced concrete structures under seismic loading. The following points are addressed in succession:
calculation methods in nonlinear transient dynamics,
the choice of finite element modeling,
the choice of behavioral models,
the data recording of the problem,
analyses prior to the nonlinear transient dynamic calculation,
the resolution of the nonlinear transient dynamic calculation,
post-treatment,
existing studies.
However, the regulatory calculation of sizing by spectral method is not addressed in this documentation [U2.06.09].
