10. Conclusions#

The methodology for carrying out a study of civil engineering under seismic loading is presented. We place ourselves in the framework of non-linear transient dynamics (operator DYNA_NON_LINE).

Different types of finite element models are available to represent structural elements in reinforced concrete (beam, column, slab, wall,…). A local, semi-global representation (multi-layer shell, multi-fiber beam) and global shell can be used.

In addition, nonlinear behavior models of concrete (ENDO_ISOT_BETON, ENDO_ORTH_BETON,, MAZARS_UNIL,,, GLRC_DMet GLRC_DMcouplé to plasticity) and steel (VMIS_ISOT_LINE, VMIS_CINE_LINE, PINTO_MENEGOTTO) adapted to seismic applications are available.

The implementation of a non-linear seismic study is presented (data analysis of the problem, analyses prior to the nonlinear dynamic calculation to be carried out, advice in order to improve the convergence of calculations and available post-treatments).

This document provides the user, for each stage of their calculation, with methodological advice and rules of good practice to follow.
