Summary:

This document is a user manual for discrete element models.

Discrete elements are used in the numerical modeling of stiffness, damping or masses located on a node (mesh « POI1 ») or between two nodes (mesh « SEG2 »). Their degrees of freedom are generalized movements.

They can be used in linear or non-linear mechanics.
