1. Introduction#
This document presents a law of behavior of steel subjected to corrosion in civil engineering structures. This law was formulated on the basis of the Lemaître model (plasticity coupled with damage). Following tensile tests carried out on corroded bars, an influence of corrosion on the plastic deformation at break is observed (the plastic deformation of corroded bars decreases with the increase in the degree of corrosion) [bib2] _, [bib3] _. The plastic deformation at break of the Lemaître model is related to the corrosion rate (the diameter of the corroded bar compared to the non-corroded one in 1D or the thickness of the corroded flat reinforcement compared to the non-corroded one in 3D).
