5. Summaries of results

The objectives of this test have been achieved.

• The aim was to show the feasibility of taking into account the rubbing contact on the lips of the chain with the continuous method adapted to the X- FEM framework. Only the case of an interface crossing the structure completely has been considered (interface).

• The method is validated in \(\mathrm{2D}\) \(\text{P2}\) (displacement) \(\text{P1}\) (pressure) on a quadrangle and triangle mesh.

• The method is validated with the augmented Lagrangian method for the treatment of touch/friction.
