4. Summary of results

This test case shows the possibility of using static macroelements to represent the stiffness of a structure subjected to unilateral contact, regardless of the formulation of this last one (continuous or discrete). There are no restrictions on the conditions of use; potential contact surfaces may belong to macroelements. The comparison of the complete model and static macroelements shows that the results are the same, both in terms of movement and in terms of force.
