We consider a cube with side \(1m\) placed on a rigid plane.

1.2. Material properties#

The material is isotropic elastic whose properties are:

  • \(E\mathrm{=}209000\mathit{MPa}\)

  • \(\nu =0.3\)

1.3. Boundary conditions and loads#

On the upper face, a vertical displacement of \(\mathrm{-}\mathrm{0.1m}\) is imposed. The rigid plane is embedded and a unilateral condition of contact is imposed between the cube and the rigid plane.
