v6.04.137 SSNV137 - Prestressing cable in a straight concrete beam#

Summary

We consider a straight concrete beam, of square cross section, crossed over its length by a steel pretension cable. In the state of rest, the cable is parallel to the middle fiber of the beam and offset from the two main planes. The girder and the cable are freestanding. The cable is pulled at its free end, in order to pre-stress the beam in flexion-compression. Voltage losses along the cable are overlooked.

The aim of this test case is to validate the method for calculating the equilibrium state of a prestressed concrete structure, when this structure is modelled by 3D elements, associated with the basic elements representing the prestressed cable.

The specific functionalities to be tested are as follows:

  • operator DEFI_CABLE_BP: determination of the kinematic relationships between the degrees of freedom of the nodes of a cable and the degrees of freedom of the « neighboring » nodes of a concrete structure modeled by 3D elements;

  • operator STAT_NON_LINE, option COMPORTEMENT: calculation of the equilibrium state.

The results obtained are validated by comparison with a reference analytical solution.
