8. F modeling#

8.1. Characteristics of modeling#

Idem modeling C.

The outer ring defines the master surface so as to satisfy condition LBB (\(\mathit{P1}\) in contact and \(\mathit{P2}\) in movement).

8.2. Characteristics of the mesh#

We will work with second-order elements in order to observe the effects of their uses during calculations. For modeling E, the inner ring will include elements of order 2 and the interior of elements of order 1. For F modeling, we invert. For G modeling, the entire mesh will have elements of order 2.

The mesh includes:

  • 80 SEG2 meshes;

  • 80 SEG3 meshes;

  • 120 QUAD4 stitches on the inner crown;

  • 120 QUAD8sur type meshes the outer crown.

8.3. Tested sizes and results#

The contact pressure (LAGS_C) is calculated for the node \(A\) with coordinates \((0.6\mathrm{,0}.0)\), the node that at the initial moment is located farthest to the right of the interface between the two rings. The calculated values are compared to the value obtained according to equation 1.5 for an external pressure of \(p\mathrm{=}1.0E7\). The rotation of the inner ring is applied. We look at the variations in external pressure during this rotation. We test when the meshes have a maximum offset of a surface half-element.
