Summary

This test makes it possible to validate the multi-fiber beam element POU_D_TGM in the geometric non-linear domain of large displacements and large rotations. An additional modeling with POU_D_T_GD (geometrically exact model of beams in large displacements) makes it possible to compare the two elements.

We study a flat arc of opening \(45°\) embedded at one end and subjected to a bending force perpendicular to its plane at the other end. This test, which is very severe, gives results in good agreement with the results already obtained by other researchers in the literature.
