5. C modeling#

5.1. Characteristics of modeling#

Modeling identical to modeling A except for the use of 3D modeling_ DIAG instead of 3D. It makes it possible to validate the use of an anisotropic coordinate system with massive 3D_ DIAG thermal elements.

5.2. Characteristics of the mesh#

Set to 250 HEXA8 (5 elements on edges \(\mathrm{HD}\) and \(\mathrm{DM}\), 10 elements on \(\mathrm{DF}\) by IDEAS.

5.4. notes#

The symmetry of the mesh means that solution \(T\) at the nodes of the mesh is accurate, but in the elements, the extrapolated solution is not exact.

The flow is calculated by*Aster* at the points where the elements are integrated and then transferred to the nodes by extrapolation. As the flow is not uniform, this extrapolation leads to a difference between calculation and reference.
