4. Summary of results#
The modeling gives results where a value (out of 10) exceeds the tolerance set initially \((5\text{\%})\). The maximum difference obtained is \(-6.10\text{\%}\), it is located at the lowest reference value.
In this test, Code_Aster applies an « overload law » which in this case consists in taking into account the last limit condition entered. The order in which the temperatures imposed are assigned therefore has a major influence on the results obtained.
The calculations were done in \(\text{°}C\). Determining the difference, considering the temperatures in \(\text{°}F\), gives a maximum value that is very different from that obtained in \(\text{°}C\).
A calculation carried out with the software NISA gives results identical to those of Code_Aster (verified in the case where the temperature imposed at point L is \(4.44\text{°}C\)).
The quality of the results could be improved by performing a finer mesh, the problem of overload would still be present, but the area of influence of the temperature imposed at point L would be weaker. The results are considered to be acceptable taking into account the modeling carried out (mesh and unit system, overload law).
