5. Summary of results

The results obtained are satisfactory, the maximum difference is 0.63%. 3D modeling (with PENTA15, HEXA20 meshes) and AXIS modeling (with TRIA6 meshes) give substantially the same results (the mesh and the degree of interpolation are identical).

The analytical solution, which is an approximate solution, assumes that the \(r/L\) ratio is much greater than 1. For this numerical test, the \(r/L\) ratio was taken to be equal to 100.
