A longitudinal section of the cylinder is modelled in 2D volume elements, considering the axisymmetry hypothesis.

The cylinder is represented by a regular mesh of quadratic elements with 8 nodes containing:

  • 4 elements;

  • 21 knots.

The mesh contains 2 cuts in the radial direction and 2 cuts in the vertical direction.
