1.1. Geometry#
A console beam of length \(L=1m\) (see Figure 1).

1.2. Material properties#
The straight section is rectangular \(b\times h=0.4\times 1{m}^{2}\), and homogeneous with a material of Young’s modulus \(E=3\times {10}^{10}\mathit{Pa}\).
1.3. Boundary conditions and loads#
The beam is embedded at one end and loaded by a \(F={10}^{6}N\) force at the other end (see Figure 1)
