Material properties
----------------------

The straight section is rectangular :math:`b\times h=0.4\times 1{m}^{2}`, and homogeneous with a material of Young's modulus :math:`E=3\times {10}^{10}\mathit{Pa}`.


Boundary conditions and loads
-------------------------------------

The beam is embedded at one end and loaded by a :math:`F={10}^{6}N` force at the other end (see Figure 1)
