3. Modeling A#
3.1. Characteristics of modeling#
We use a DKT model. Only a quarter of the tank is modelled.
3.2. Characteristics of the mesh#
The elements are quadrangles. The DKT elements are oriented to have their outgoing normal.
3.3. Other calculation parameters#
The acceleration due to gravity is \(9.81m/{s}^{2}\).
The distance between the axis of the steels and the surface of an element (coating) is \(0.04m\).
The equivalence coefficient is \(15.0\).
The maximum allowable stress of steel is \(2.8{10}^{8}\mathit{Pa}\).
The maximum allowable stress of concrete is \(3.5{10}^{7}\mathrm{Pa}\).
The calculation is carried out in the Service Limit State (ELS).
Pivots are worth \(\mathrm{PIVA}=1.0{10}^{3}\) and \(\mathrm{PIVB}=3.5{10}^{-3}\) respectively
3.4. Tested sizes and results#
The values tested correspond to the maximums of the reinforcement densities on the various components \(\mathit{DNSXI}\), \(\mathit{DNSXS}\), \(\mathit{DNSYI}\), \(\mathit{DNSYS}\)
For ease of reading, the results have been converted to \({\mathit{cm}}^{2}\mathrm{/}m\).
