v3.03.115 SSLS115 - Composite square plate under uniform pressure#

Summary:

The case of a tri-layered square plate is treated, which is simply supported and subjected to uniform pressure. The skins are made of a homogeneous orthotropic material, as is the heart (same orthotropic axes). Core modules \(E\) and \(G\) are ten times weaker than those in skins.

The displacement in the center as well as the stresses at the lower and upper interfaces of the skins are calculated.

The test includes eight models: for the first four, the results obtained are compared for triangular and then quadrangular surface meshes, in two different user frames of reference. The last four models make it possible to measure the sensitivity of the results to the orientation of the triangular cells in the two user frames.
