12. Summary of results#
The results obtained show that:
With an identical mesh (type of surface meshes and orientation of the cells), the change of user coordinate system does not affect the constraints;
Because of the orthotropy of the problem, there is a significant sensitivity to the orientation of triangular surface cells (the precision of the calculations increases from 1 to 11% for constraints and from 0.17 to 0.95% for displacements). This sensitivity does not disappear by refining the mesh. This point should therefore be taken into account when comparing triangle/quadrangle performances.
